Need hair ideas for your holiday party? Do it big! Having hair that is blown-out or swept into a romantic updo is easy and will help make your night one to remember.
To create big hair, use a root lifter after shampooing and towel drying. Lift the hair at your crown (top back part of the head) and spray your product at the scalp from side to side. Massage in.
Using your blow dryer on high heat and speed, dry the crown section up and over to each opposite side. Be sure to jiggle your fingertips at the roots while blow drying to create uniformity.
Now add a thermal protector to the rest of your hair and finish drying. By pulling your paddle or round brush up at an angle, you will create width in your finished look. Polish with a small amount of flat ironing (be gentle- flat ironing is hard on the hair) or do big waves with your curling iron on medium heat.
A popular addition to 2018 updos is huge chunks of hair pulled out by the ears (think 1987). These big wispies magnify your updo, giving it ample movement, and they are soft and sexy.
Big hair and updos lend a festive, grandiose appeal. Ask your hairdresser for easy styles that bring out the best in you.
